The 6th Annual NOLA Horror Film Fest starts Friday, September 23 and runs though Sunday, September 25 at Castillo Blanco Art Studio (4321 St Claude Ave, New Orleans).

Here are some of the feature length movies that are scheduled to be shown at this year's festival ... of terror.

The Fostering (AKA The Devil Lives Here/2015) – This creepy Brazilian-made occult thriller plays like a cross between The Devil's Rain (1975) and Serpent and the Rainbow (1988). Three teens visit a friend an an old plantation house and end up in the middle of a satanic ceremony. The Fostering plays Friday, September 23 at 9:00pm.

She Who Must Burn (2015) – Religious fanatics in a small town target a social worker (Sarah Smyth) at a planned-parenthood clinic in this unsettling film. Prepare yourself for that finale! You can catch this one on Sunday, September 25 at 2:15pm.

Shortwave (2016) – After their daughter vanishes from a bookstore, a couple (Cristobal Tapia Montt and Juanita Ringeling) relocates to a secluded research facility. Soon, the wife starts having strange visions in this weird, fever dream of a movie that, mind you, makes great use of box cutter blades. Check out Shortwave on Sunday, September 25 at 6:45pm.

Virtual Revolution (2016) – In a Blade Runner-esque future, a private detective/hired gun (Mike Dopud) has to find the terrorists who are threatening to sabotage the virtual reality system that much of the population spends time in. This science fiction thriller features Jane Badler from the V mini-series from the 80s. Virtual Revolution plays Saturday, September 24 at 4:30pm.
