Familiar Faces and Fundraisers at Hulaween 2017

By: Finn Turnbull

This year’s first-ever-sold-out edition of Suwannee Hulaween is gearing up to be the best one yet. In addition to the fabulously stacked lineup, the folks at Suwannee have generously organized some very special causes to benefit those affected by the recent hurricane disasters.

To name a few: This year’s host band, The String Cheese Incident will be live-streaming all three of their sets for a pay-per-view deal that donates every dollar toward hurricane relief for those in Florida and Puerto Rico. The “Art That Feeds” food drive will take place throughout the festival, making it so that the first patrons to donate 20 non-perishable food items or the suggested monetary donation will receive a limited edition festival poster created by Oddline Art & Design. Donations can be made at the Conscious Alliance booth starting at 10:00am Friday, October 27th. And that’s not all! There will also be a PRE-Pre-Party at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park Music Hall, headlined by The Heavy Pets and other Florida artists. All contributions will go to Love Inc, the same organization that will be receiving the food donations from Conscious Alliance.

Now that you have tons of reasons to go, here’s one more! This year’s Hulaween lineup will feature some of New Orleans’ very own talented artists. So, if you’re making the trip, don’t forget to go out an show some love to our family!
