The Bombay Club Restaurant and Martini Bistro at the Prince Conti Hotel will honor National Martini Day, on June 19, 2016 with a special toast to the iconic cocktail and kicking off a one week celebration by offering a selection of $1 martinis from 4-7 each day June 19-25,2016, followed by “a year-long celebration of cocktails.” Bar Manager Blake Kaiser, a nationally renowned expert bartender, has crafted 52 martinis and cocktails to be featured over the course of 52 weeks. Presenting cocktails from New Orleans (Pimm’s Cup) to Brazil (Caipirinha) to Ireland (Irish Coffee), and everywhere in between, Kaiser introduces a “cocktail-of-the-week.” “There are so many amazing ingredients found right here in Louisiana, that its easy to create fresh new cocktails,” states Kaiser. “The ‘cocktail-of-the-week’ is fun because we play into whatever special event is going in, or whatever season we are in. Along with those specials, we always have our classic cocktails and traditional martinis, as well as an extensive wine list.”

Kaiser possesses years of experience and expertise on spirits and cocktails and garnered a following at many local establishments, while also being in national demand— with offers and appearances in New York and Miami. In 2012, Kaiser joined a very short and impressive list of New Orleanians to successfully complete the highest level of the rigorous Beverage Alcohol Resource 5-day course—the world's most influential and prestigious spirits education certification in existence. The class only admits 50 students once a year from all over the world.

Chef Phillip Todd, recently promoted to Executive Chef, joins Kaiser with a menu combining classic European with traditional Louisiana Creole flair. His modern techniques utilizing locally sourced seafood, meats and produce come from the more than ten years of experience he garnered in the kitchens of Martinique Bistro and Restaurant R’evolution. Chef Phillip, originally from Indiana, served in the U.S. Army for eight years before moving to New Orleans to attend culinary school.

The Bombay Club Restaurant and Martini Bistro is open Sunday through Thursday4 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday – Saturday4 p.m. – 11 p.m. Happy Hour is daily, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. For reservations, call (504) 577-2237.
