The all-male and much-beloved dance krewe, the 610 Stompers, are holding tryouts for new members on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August, 13. The auditions are open to all males 21 years of age and older. So if you’re a guy who can learn a dance routine while adding his own flavor to it then you’re invited to try out to be a member of the most notorious group of Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Moves in the world. Held at Harrah’s Casino on Canal St., the auditions run from noon to 6 pm both days. Round 1 of auditions will comprise of 50 dancers each day. Available spots are on a first come, first serve basis, so get there early. Chosen participants will be given a slot in the finals on August 19. These auditions are open to the public and the 610 stompers invite the city to watch for a $10 donation, while enjoying beer specials and endless entertainment.
